Hello! My name is Vivian Chan. I was born in Hong Kong and raised in Canada.
I have a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and first began my career in advertising. However, because I have always loved children and wanted to do something more meaningful, I decided to change my career into becoming an educator and I have not looked back ever since!
Prior to coming to HKCA PLK School, I taught at an IB and a Reggio Emilia Kindergarten, working with a variety of age groups. I have a PGDE in Early Childhood Education from Hong Kong University and an IB-PYP Certificate.
I am very excited to be here working with Grade 1 this year and being a part of their learning journey. It is my goal to help them grow into confident, independent, and caring critical thinkers in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. Feel free to say “hello” when you see me around!
