Bianca Koster (Netherlands)

PYP Coordinator & School Librarian

Return to Profiles

My name is Bianca Koster and I’m from the Netherlands. I am the PYP Coordinator and Senior Teacher managing the school library.

I have an MA in Multidisciplinary Studies, and am an International Baccalaureate Workshop Leader, Team Visitor and Reader in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as a School Accreditation Team Visitor for the Council of International Schools.

After a few years teaching in the Netherlands, I became an international educator in 1995, on the beautiful island of Curaçao in the Dutch Antilles. I then worked in the USA before moving to Ghana, where I was Principal of the Dutch School. I moved to China to be one of the founding teachers at a new international school, and there became the PYP Coordinator, Vice Principal and eventually Principal. My family and I are excited to now be here at this new school in Hong Kong.

I’m a passionate, lifelong learner who, as the founding PYP Coordinator, likes to inspire people to be critical thinkers and bring out the best in themselves and others.
